QuiltingB's Free Quilt Patterns - Churn Dash

Although I could provide templates for the various pieces, I have decided instead to provide size measurements and cutting instructions. This is because of the differences in computer screen resulutions and printer settings. By providing these measurments and cutting instructions, you can be sure that your pieces will be the proper size and scale. If you prefer to use templates, simply follow these measurement instructions, cutting out pieces of paper and transfer that to template plastic.

From background fabric (white) cut the following:

  1. 4 7/8 X 4 7/8 inch square--cut 2, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, giving you a total of 4 triangles. These are your C triangles.
  2. 4 1/2 X 4 1/2 inch square--cut 1. This is your A square
  3. 4 1/2 X 2 1/2 inch rectangle--cut 4. These are your B pieces.

From dark blue fabric, cut:

3. Sew the units into strips.

4. Sew the stips together to make the block.
